In short

Twelve free Instagram tools, grouped by the job they do: work out what your account is worth, write text that survives Instagram’s formatting, and get your pixels right before you post. All twelve run entirely in this browser tab — no sign-in, no password, no upload, no server-side processing of anything you enter.

Which tool do you actually need?

Most people arrive with one of about six problems. Start here rather than reading all twelve descriptions.

If your problem is… Start with Then
“A brand asked my rate and I have no idea what to say” Engagement Rate Calculator Influencer Rate Calculator
“My reach dropped and I don’t know why” Engagement Rate Calculator (reach mode) Best Time to Post
“My photo got cropped badly” Image & Video Size Checker Safe Zone Checker
“My caption cuts off mid-sentence” Caption Length Counter Hashtag Set Builder
“My bio looks like one long blob” Bio Line Break Generator Font Generator
“I want my next nine posts to look deliberate” Grid Planner Carousel Splitter

Measure & price

These four turn raw numbers — followers, likes, reach, growth — into figures you can defend in a conversation with a brand. Each one shows the multipliers it applies, so you can disagree with a benchmark and adjust it rather than accepting an answer from a black box. That matters more than it sounds: most rate calculators online produce a number with no working shown, which makes it useless the moment a brand pushes back.

The natural order is engagement rate first, then pricing. Your engagement rate is the input a brand actually checks, and it is the single largest multiplier in any rate model — so knowing it before you quote is the difference between a number you can justify and a number you guessed.

Write & format

Instagram’s text handling has quirks that quietly cost people engagement every day: line breaks vanish from the bio field, captions truncate at 125 characters mid-sentence, Unicode “fonts” break screen readers, and thirty identical mega-hashtags do approximately nothing. These four deal with the quirks directly rather than pretending they aren’t there.

One honest note on the font generator: those styles are not fonts. Instagram has exactly one typeface. What you are pasting in are different Unicode characters — mathematical symbols that happen to look like letters. They work, they are eye-catching, and they make your profile difficult or impossible for a screen reader user to read. The tool says so on every affected style, and tells you how the result will be announced.

Size & design

Getting cropped is the most avoidable mistake on the platform, and the most common. These four check dimensions before you upload, show which parts of a Reel are covered by Instagram’s own buttons, cut a wide image into a seamless carousel, and let you plan how nine posts will look side by side.

All four read your image with the Canvas API from a local object URL. Nothing is uploaded, which is why they are safe to use with a client’s unpublished campaign assets — there is no upload endpoint on this site for a file to go to.

What all twelve have in common

Property StealthGram Typical free Instagram tool
Account sign-in None — nowhere to enter one Often required, sometimes your IG password
Where processing happens Your browser Their server
Image uploads None — Canvas reads a local object URL Uploaded and stored, often indefinitely
Working shown Every multiplier displayed Usually a single unexplained number
Works offline after load Yes No
Cost Free, no tier withheld Free tier, paid upgrade

That table is a claim, so here is how to check it: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, load any tool page and then use it. You will see the initial page load — the HTML, one stylesheet, two small scripts, the tool module and two font files — and after that, nothing. Images appear as blob: entries, which are pointers to memory on your own machine rather than network transfers.

Why these tools and not others

Some of the most-searched Instagram “tools” cannot be built honestly, so they aren’t here:

  • Private profile viewers. When an account is private, Instagram does not serve those images to anyone who is not an approved follower. No website can work around that, because the data is never sent. Every site claiming otherwise is either harvesting logins or running visitors through “human verification” offers that pay the operator per completion.
  • Follower and like sellers. Buying followers damages the exact metric brands check first. Your follower count is the denominator of your engagement rate, so adding accounts that never interact drives the rate down mechanically — and it breaks Instagram’s terms.
  • Anything that needs your password. Unfollower trackers, auto-DM bots and third-party schedulers that log in on your behalf are handing your credentials to someone else’s server. Instagram’s own Insights, under your Professional dashboard, cover most of what they promise.
  • Downloaders for other people’s posts. That is a copyright question, not an engineering one, and it is not ours to answer for you.

Where the benchmark numbers come from

Several tools compare your figures against reference points: engagement rate by follower tier, sponsored post rates by niche, active hours by audience type. These are published industry ranges and transparent models, not live Instagram data and not a proprietary dataset we are hinting at having. Where a tool cannot know something, it says so rather than inventing a figure — the hashtag builder, for instance, never prints a post count for a tag, because it has no way to know one.

The same principle occasionally works against the tools themselves. The rate calculator states in its own results panel that its engagement multiplier bottoms out at ×0.70, which means it will still quote a higher price for an account padded with bought followers than for a smaller genuine one. A brand running a real audit will not. We would rather publish that limitation than let the number look more authoritative than it deserves.

Guides that go with the tools

Each tool page carries its own explanation, but the deeper background lives in the guides — how engagement rate is actually calculated and what a good one looks like, what Instagram does to your file on upload, where Reels safe zones really sit, and how the private-viewer scam economy works. Start from a pillar guide if you want the whole picture rather than one number:
